Our holiday homes are located on or near the most beautiful dune and forest areas in North Holland: Alkmaar, Bergen, Bergen aan ZeeEgmond aan Zee, Heiloo, and Schoorl. Although these places are close together, they each have their own unique wooded environment.

A unique wooded environment
The dunes and forests of North Holland also offer a unique diversity of flora and fauna. For example, the Bergerbos forest lies nestled against the dune edge. This is one of the oldest forests in the Alkmaar area. While not particularly impressive in size, it has a character unlike any other forested area in the Netherlands.
For magnificent old deciduous trees with thick trunks, head to the Heilooërbos. The hiking trails here lead you along the most beautiful unpaved paths. A little further on, you'll find the renowned North Holland Dune Reserve. A unique nature and tranquil area with the widest dunes in the Netherlands. Here you'll find a pine forest, a lake with a birdwatching hut, and a vast oak forest.
