Terms & conditions

It is wise to read this "small print" carefully. Both you and Goudkust holiday homes you will find here your and our rights and obligations. If you Goudkust By renting a holiday home, you confirm that you agree to the terms and conditions printed below.

1. Reservation
1.1 You can make a reservation by phone, email or online. These reservation methods are for your own account and Goudkust Holiday homes are binding. By placing a reservation by phone, email, or online, the general terms and conditions apply. The client is solely liable for fulfilling all obligations by themselves and all fellow travelers arising from the travel agreement.

2. Reservation order and payment
2.1 Each reservation order is made by Goudkust holiday homes confirmed by means of a booking confirmation.
2.2 You must pay 30% of the rental fee within two weeks of receiving this confirmation. The remaining rental fee must be paid no later than six weeks before the start of the rental period.
2.3 For short-term bookings, i.e. 6 weeks or less before the start of the rental period, you must pay the total travel sum immediately by means of an internet payment or telephone payment by bank transfer.
2.4 In case of late payment, Goudkust Holiday homes are entitled to cancel the reserved accommodation. The cancellation policy will then remain in full force (see Article 3).

3. Cancellation by tenant
3.1 Cancellations must be submitted by email to Goudkust holiday homes must be passed on. Immediately after receipt of the cancellation, Goudkust holiday homes a cancellation confirmation/invoice.
3.2 In case of cancellation up to 6 weeks before the start of the rental period, you will not owe any rental fee.
3.3 In case of cancellation within 6 weeks and 30 days before the start of the rental period, you owe 50% of the invoiced amount.
3.4 In case of cancellation 30 days or less before the start of the rental period, you will be liable for the full invoiced amount.
3.5 Any amounts already paid will be offset and paid immediately in accordance with the cancellation policy and the cancellation invoice.
3.6 Cancelled reservations can be made in consultation with Goudkust be transferred to third parties.

4. Cancellation by Goudkust holiday homes
4.1 If Goudkust If the holiday home owner is forced to cancel the rental of the accommodation already rented due to circumstances, the tenant will be notified immediately and, if possible, offered a suitable alternative. If the tenant does not accept this alternative, or if an alternative cannot be offered by the tenant, Goudkust holiday homes, will Goudkust Holiday homes will immediately refund the amount already paid by the tenant. The tenant has no further or other right than to reclaim this amount.
4.2 Goudkust Holiday homes reserves the right, on behalf of the owner, to refuse a booking based on the age or composition of the group. Owners may also apply different terms and conditions in such cases.

5. Tenant's liability
5.1 During your stay in the accommodation, you, as the tenant, are fully liable for the rented accommodation, its furnishings, and all items belonging to the property. Any damage caused by you and/or your traveling companions or pets must be fully reimbursed by you, immediately, to the landlord. You, as the tenant, are also fully liable for any additional costs. Goudkust Holiday Homes is entitled to hold the tenant liable if the damage caused has not been settled, or has not been settled properly, or if the costs to be paid on site have not been (fully) paid by the tenant. All associated (collection) costs will be borne entirely by the tenant named in the booking confirmation.
5.2 The number of people stated in the accommodation description is the maximum permitted number of people. Occupancy with more people than the maximum number is not permitted, and the owner is entitled to refuse you access to the accommodation at that time.

6. Liability of Goudkust holiday homes 
6.1 Goudkust Holiday homes cannot accept any liability for loss, theft, damage or injury of any nature whatsoever caused to or by tenants of Goudkust holiday homes contracted accommodations.
6.2 Obvious errors or mistakes in the description or prices of the products Goudkust holiday homes offered accommodations bind Goudkust holiday homes not. For interim changes in data, prices or typographical or printing errors, Goudkust holiday homes do not accept any liability.
6.3 The (price) information on the website is leading.
6.4 Goudkust Holiday homes cannot be held liable for natural disasters, nuclear disasters, attacks, strikes, acts of violence and contact with an aircraft or parts thereof.
6.5 It is possible that work is being carried out near your accommodation. This could include roadworks, construction work, and other activities. Please understand that we cannot accept any responsibility for any noise pollution. We cannot prevent or stop such work.
6.6 Goudkust In any event, the holiday home owner is liable for a maximum amount equal to the rental sum.
6.7 Dutch law applies to all our reservation agreements and any subsequent arrangements. Any disputes arising from an agreement will be settled by the competent court in Alkmaar.

7. Complaints
7.1 Despite our best efforts, you may still have a complaint. This complaint should be submitted to the homeowner or their representative on-site. In serious cases, or if your complaint is not resolved satisfactorily on-site, you should contact us immediately from your holiday destination. Goudkust to include vacation homes. A reasonable, acceptable solution is often possible, and you can maintain your vacation enjoyment.
7.2 If the complaint is not resolved after contacting the customer on site, Goudkust If the holiday homes have not been satisfactorily resolved, the complaint must be submitted in writing (email) and with reasons, within 2 weeks after the end of the rental period. Goudkust Complaints about vacation homes must be submitted. Complaints submitted later will not be accepted and will void any alleged right to claim.
7.3 Independently occupying accommodation other than that provided by Goudkust holiday homes offered, or without consultation with Goudkust Leaving the rented accommodation voids all rights to compensation or reimbursement.
7.4 Goudkust Holiday homes are not on-site. However, we are available by phone 24/7.

8. On site
8.1 The rental of the accommodations of Goudkust Holiday rentals run from Friday to Friday, unless otherwise stated in the property description/price list. You can access your accommodation on the first day of your stay between 3:00 PM and 8:00 PM. On the day of departure, you should generally vacate your accommodation by 10:00 AM. In some cases, this may vary. Always consult your travel documents for arrival and departure times. Different arrival and/or departure times may be possible in consultation with the landlord, but please make sure to arrange this with the landlord in advance.
8.2 Bed linen must be rented at the accommodations. Other services offered can be found in the property description.
8.3 At the accommodations you are obliged to have the final cleaning done by the owner for a fee.
